Botox is the most common neuromodulator, a medication used in aesthetic medicine to diminish the activity of facial muscles, and to reduce skin lines and wrinkles. Botox has been approved by the FDA to smooth moderate to severe wrinkles in the following areas:

Botox temporarily reduces this muscle activity by paralyzing these facial muscles, which helps to visibly smooth out facial lines in these areas. On average, your Botox treatment will last for approximately 3-4 months.

Actual injections do not take long; however, results generally don't show for up to 4 days. Faces look noticeably smoother within a week, with optimal results showing after a month.
